The team at Subiaco Men's Health use their extensive experience and expertise to provide you with personalised care.
We use real-time ultrasound to assess and provide biofeedback of the pelvic floor muscles. Transabdominal real-time ultrasound involves a transducer probe being placed on your lower abdomen; this allows us to see your bladder and give you visual feedback on if you are completing your pelvic floor muscles exercises correctly. We recommend you attend your appointments with a comfortably full bladder to help you get the most out of this assessment.
Surgery, particularly in the pelvis, is a big life event. We are here to provide you with support before and after. We can provide strategies that help optimise your overall recovery and facilitate returning to work and sport safely.
To optimise your recovery, we work with postgraduate sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapists at Sportsmed Subiaco. Together we provide strength and conditioning programs to support your recovery. These programs involve components of weight-based functional training and utilise our onsite facilities, including our fully equipped gym and clinical Pilates studio. If suitable, we can provide programs to complete at home.
